Grampians Health – Horsham & Dimboola Campuses are committed to encouraging local students to explore a career in the Heath Care Sector by providing opportunities to complete Work Experience, Structured Workplace Learning and School-Based Apprenticeships & Traineeships in clinical & non-clinical settings.

Year 10 Students
Year 10 students can apply to complete an organised Work Experience program of up to 1-week duration. The program will involve working in a combination of clinical & non-clinical areas. Work Experience will be available during Term 2.
Applications must be submitted by COB 31st March 2023.

Year 11 & 12 Students
Year 11 & 12 students can apply for specialised Work Experience programs which will be available during the term 1-3 school breaks.

Applications will be reviewed and allocated to work experience weeks based on a fair distribution to local schools, student date preferences and quality of application. Applicants will be advised of outcomes via email within 3 weeks of the closing date. All enquiries should be made through your school Careers Advisor in the first instance.
Structured Workplace Learning Placements
Structured Workplace Learning students will be accepted to complete an organised program for 1 day a week for 10 weeks. Students will undertake Structured Workplace Learning positions in line with their Senior School and VET Certificate training. All structured workplace positions available are listed on the WASM Llen jobs portal LLEN DETAILS - Wimmera Southern Mallee Local Learning & Employment Network (education.vic.gov.au)
Structured Workplace Learning will be available throughout the school year from March - November.

All successful students will be advised of additional requirements to work at Grampians Health. These may vary depending on the work undertaken, but includes up to date COVID (2-3 doses, depending on age/eligibility), Flu Vaccinations and police check if 18 years old.
